I'm Brent. I originally created this site to post things such as music, writings, interesting pictures and art. Over the years I've been especially involved in songwriting, music recording, and digital signal processing. The site also has some journals I've written on the nature of sound and music and other random philosophical things.

On 05-08-09, I completed a first draft of a music journal. In it I explain the most important things I found during a long study of the nature of music. I hope that anyone interested in music, recording, or philosophy will take a look at it. It (might) be especially good for anyone who is new to sound recording and wants to learn more about it.

This is a picture of my music studio. It doesn't look very expensive, but it isn't the size or cost that matters nowadays. Computers are so fast that they can model tons of expensive outboard hardware. If you turn your attention to the image behind this text you will notice a complex diagram. That is a schematic for an instrument i built that exists entirely inside the computer. Wow, computers are neat.
